To purchase a photographGallery AImages are made in an exciting new process known as “face-mounting” which dispenses with the need for frames – so often a distraction rather than an enhancement of an image. But that’s not all. By directly gluing the front side of the photograph to the back of a sheet of acrylic silicon, any light reflections bouncing between the photograph and the glazing of an ordinary glass frame are eliminated, thus increasing image sharpness, contrast and colour saturation. The colours seem sharper, more brilliant, more intense and more immediate. The pictures appear to “pop” off the wall. The effect is stunning. The images themsleves are made on a Durst Lambda laser-based, digital output machine on Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper. They are face-mounted on to an aluminium backing, under conditions of absolute cleanliness, by Plexiphoto at the Dutch Museum Amsterdam. Gallery BThe images in Gallery B are printed by the photographer using chromium pigment inks on archival, acid-free fibre paper. They are mounted on acid-free conservation board sized 400 mm x 300 mm or 500 mm x 400 mm, ready to fit into standard sized frames. |
